The History
Originally owned by McElwain Baptist Church, this parcel of land, now being used to develop The Legacy, has a great communal history. In the early 1900's, prior to erecting their first building, families of the McElwain community had been attending church gatherings under the large shade trees on Euclid Avenue. With the need for a church building, this parcel of land was donated to the community by J. Daniels Eastis for the use as a church and school. Meanwhile, as soldiers ventured back from WW2, an increase in demand for single family homes sparked home builders to get to work constructing what is today know as Crestline Park. This timeless yet quaint neighborhood is a symbol of our brave veterans who returned home. Our team of developers at The Legacy is dedicated to preserving the communal atmosphere of this beloved neighborhood while also creating beautiful and captivating homes.
